 Description: 

This position is for a System Engineer II to support in the analysis, development, and deployment of a monitoring architecture solution. The Monitoring System Engineer will work as a systems engineer supporting a Government lead.

Specific duties include:

  • Leading the systems engineering activities to accomplish monitoring goals to include coordinating and participating in design meetings and technical review meetings; developing technical plans to guide capability development; and reporting status of capability development activities
  • Working with system architects, system developers, testers, and systems engineers to develop and maintain block diagrams, sequence diagrams, interface definitions, and other analysis and design artifacts to be used for design and development
  • Collaborating with stakeholder organizations to identify monitoring system requirements, priorities, technical approaches, and deployment plans
  • Writing and coordinating the preparation of technical documentation. The documentation will include but not be limited to technical management plans, requirements documents, and technical briefings

Minimum requirements:

  • Three years direct experience with enterprise management systems engineering with an emphasis on SNMP monitoring and application/service layer monitoring
  •  Three years direct experience with the full lifecycle of enterprise management system deployment with a focus on system availability, supportability, capability, and security.
  • Five years of direct experience with an intelligence community or signals intelligence capability with an emphasis on collection, processing, and exploitation
  • Ten years in a technical role in projects and programs including agile development projects
  • Ten years experience as a systems engineer supporting programs to develop and field large-scale systems to include experience in system architecture, requirements analysis, system documentation, system evaluation, and process execution and evaluation
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or other technical discipline
