Immediate need for a mid-to-senior level engineer with 4 or more years of LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySql, PHP) experience.  Must be able to respond to tier 2+ support calls during and outside of normal business hours and weekends.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs highly complex systems modeling, simulation and analysis to provide appropriate solution.
• Conducts investigations and tests of complex software systems to enhance performance or investigate and resolve matters of significance.
• Reviews completion and implementation of technical products to ensure success and timeliness.
• Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of more complex projects.
• Recommends corrections in complex technical applications and analysis to enhance performance.
• Evaluates vendor capabilities on projects to provide required products or services.
• Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
• Provides technical consultation to other organizations; interacts with senior customer personnel and internal senior management.
• Provides the customer base with first level support.

Specific Qualifications:

• 4+years of experience.
• PHP developer with extensive development on a LAMP stack (apache/PHP), PHP development for web applications.
• Must have demonstrable experience with database setup and management with MySQL.
• Must have demonstrable experience working in a dynamic environment.
• Must have demonstrable diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of customers and colleagues.
• Must be able to work cooperatively with infrastructure support admin personnel.
• Must be able to respond to tier 2+ support calls during and outside of normal business hours and weekends.
• Must be able to manage time effectively and work on multiple project time lines.
• Knowledge/experience with PHP based content management systems - Wordpress is a plus.
• Knowledge/experience with AJAX development for web applications is a plus.
• Knowledge/experience with LDAP directory services is a plus.
• Knowledge/experience with Wordpress Buddypress is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
• Seven or more years of experience in software engineering or operating systems programming
• Experience working with software design principles
